Visitation

In Oklahoma, visitation refers to the amount of time the children spend with each parent (this term is sometimes referred to as physical custody or shared parenting time).

Visitation is case-specific and is based upon multiple factors.  In some cases, it is in the child’s interest for the parents to share equal time with the children.  In other cases, it is in the child’s best interest for one parent to have professionally supervised or therapeutic visitation, based upon several factors, including:  the existing relationship between one parent and the child, one parent’s drug or criminal history, work schedules of the parents, schedules of the children, and the child’s preference.

In both divorce and paternity cases, it is important to have a skilled attorney assist you in reaching your goal of spending as much time with your children as possible.
